Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, Los Angeles
The MDR Ritz-Carlton is a stunning place to have a wedding. Within the Ritz there is a gorgeous rose garden that has the most beautiful altar to get married in. Additionally, the Ritz is right on the Marina del Rey harbor so it has some gorgeous views. It’s always a lot of fun to shoot at the Marina del Rey Ritz-Carlton.
This wedding goes down as one of my most fun weddings to shoot! It was an action-packed day filled with nuptials, ridiculously good food, awesomely choreographed dances and a killer 80′s cover band. Way too much fun! Here is a glimpse into this amazing wedding I shot at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton.
A stunning Vera Wang dress. The details within this dress were amazing! Along with this gorgeous dress were the perfect Christian Louboutin shoes! Last but not least, was a drop-dead beautiful bride to complete the package.

Soft and romantic bride and groom wedding portrait photographs at the MDR Ritz-Carlton. The bride loved classic modern and these photographs just ooooze their contemporary style.
I’m always a sucker for the emotion of a wedding day. Look how happy and excited these two are! I love this photograph as it tells so much and paints such a vivid story. It always makes me happy to see couples in love like this. What a beautiful wedding.
The Marina del Rey Ritz-Carlton rose garden is gorgeous. The altar is a mix of traditional and roman design.
The bride and groom love to do beach waterfront sports and one of their favorite places to vacation is Hawaii. They incorporated this beach theme flawlessly throughout their wedding. All the decor was done with a clean and contemporary eye. From the guest-sign in table to the reception, everything was absolutely beautiful.
This wedding cake was to die for! It was meticulously covered with carefully positioned edible flowers and fondant coral patterns. Way too cool.
The bride and groom started off with a romantic first dance and then halfway through they switched pace to a super fun dance. It was one of the coolest first dances I’ve seen.
The highlight of the night was when the dance floor kicked off and the bride and groom revealed the special surprise: an 80′s cover band! They had hired Fast Times to kick off the jams and boy did they!! Everyone of the band was dressed up as their favorite 80′s musician. Not only did they look the part but they killed it music wise. I got the lucky pleasure of working while listening to all my favorite 80′s songs. It was a stellar night.
Mickey Spillone lives!! Anyone order a pizza?!!

Air guitars and inflatable microphones. This wedding rocked out…literally!

To close the night, the bride and groom thought of just about everything and even had a midnight snack. Kobe beef sliders! Yum!
By far this was one of the coolest weddings I’ve ever photographed. It was a total honor to be a part of their special day. The MDR Ritz is such a beautiful location for weddings and the 80′s cover band totally rocked the night! It’s days like this that make me love my job as a Los Angeles wedding photographer.
