Private Estate, Los Gatos, California

Hailing all the way from New York, Caroline and Matt brought the party to the west coast! These two resident Manhattanites were wed in their homecity of Los Gatos. Their wedding was nothing short of spectacular! From the beautiful catholic church, to the SF cable cars, to the lovely outdoor reception – their celebration was certainly a classy one. Everything was wonderfully elegant and captured the fun & lively personalities of Caroline and Matt. These two did an amazing job of mixing the sophisticated exuberant energy of New York with the class of Los Gatos. The end result was an awesome celebration. Thanks for having Rob and myself along with you on your special day, we had a blast! Here are a few photos to share from the day!

Desserts & Food Galore!

Caroline and Matt transformed this private estate to an lively, event-worthy celebration.  Admist the cocktail and hors d’ouerve bars, there were lounge furniture, a putting green, a ping pong table and a photobooth.  Everything was purposely well-thought out for the fun and enjoyment of their guests.

Midway through the reception, Caroline grabbed the mic and announced a dance off competition between the best man, the father of the groom and some of the groomsmen.  While it was a huge surprise to all the guests, it was probably an even greater surprise to the contestants whom had no idea this was going to happen!  Caroline’s too cute, at the end of her announcement she mentioned that the winner would get a dance with her.  It was an awesome ten minutes of cabbage patches and shirts flying through the air.  At the end of the dance-off, the crowd voted with cheers and Caroline had her first dance with her new father in law.

At the end of the night, sparklers were passed out and the sky lit up as Caroline and Matt made their grand exit.  It was a fabulous day and we wish you a life of amazing future memories together.

Our close and talented friend Mo surprised us this past weekend with an incredible post-wedding gift. Look at this thing…isn’t it amazing, it reeks of pure awesomeness! We were totally floored and at a loss for words when he presented this painting to us. Everything is hand painted with an airbrush – the detail is absolutely remarkable. Hah, maybe too remarkable…it’s almost scary how realistic he captured ourselves in 2-D airbrush action! Mo totally rocked this painting and brought it to life not just with the astonishing portraits, but also with a ton of personal details that he incorporated. In past lives, we had an affinity for trainspotting and graffiti. Everything from our favorite colors to our interests and even to including our wedding date, Mo made sure to make this painting uniquely our own. Even the format of the painting is golden.  Do you see it…he designed the canvas to look like a polaroid photo.  Way cool, huh.

I’ve known Mo for years and he’s probably one of the best Los Angeles portrait airbrushers in the business. His airbrush skills and video work are simply amazing. We’ve long been fans of his work and he’s been a great friend over the years. Here are some photos I quickly snapped of the painting he gave Annie and me.

Finding a home for this on our walls was a bit tough…so many choices!  In the end, we decided it would be nice company right next to our woolly wally.
