A new record has been set – three days in Vegas and I didn’t lose any greens! Thank you WPPI for packing in the days with speakers and activities; the full and busy days kept me far away from the craptables! It was an excellent three days spent. Here’s a quick recap of the trip: It all started with roadtrip time! Me and my good friends at Lin&Jirsa threw some gear into the car and headed out for Vegas baby…but we were met with some ominous clouds:

It started off like this and ended up like this. It’s crazy, I had to get a picture of this. It looks like my picture is overexposed, but no, the visibility was just really that crappy! You have to search hard in the picture to find the white SUV in front of us, the weather conditions sucked and it was a bit unnerving not being able to see more than 15 feet ahead of us. Getting out of los angeles and through Victorville was rough – snow was on the ground, roads were slick and the rain didn’t help – but fortunately we made it and got over to Vegas.

WPPI 2009 was an excellent three days of testing out the latest products as well as listening to world-class wedding photographers share their tips. It was exciting to hear speakers like – Jerry Ghionis, Cherie Steinberg, Bambi Cantrell, Yervant, Joe Buissink, John Solano, Dennis Reggie, Marcus Bell, Doug Gordon, Joe McNally, Greg Gibson, Damon Tucci, Mike Colon, David Beckstead, Gene Higa and more- all current greats within the industry. It was truly inspiring. I can’t wait to begin utilizing all these great tips I learned and to see how it enhances my images! Now that WPPI is done and over with, it’s nice to be back in los angeles. As odd as it sounds, it’s good to be home and back to work again.
